Itinerary
Day 1: Agadir – Tata
Depart from Agadir and follow lesser-known routes into southern Morocco. Pass ancient rock carvings, remote oases, and villages like Akka. Enjoy panoramic views while crossing the Anti-Atlas Mountains before arriving in Tata, a serene oasis town where you will spend the night.
Day 2: Tata – Foum Zguid – Erg Chegaga
Travel toward the Sahara Desert, passing arid plains and desert settlements. Reach Foum Zguid and begin an off-road adventure across the vast, dried Lake Iriqui, a dramatic and untouched landscape. Arrive at Erg Chegaga, where camels await for a sunset trek across the dunes. Spend the night in the desert camp, surrounded by silence, stars, and traditional hospitality.
Day 3: Erg Chegaga – M’hamid – Tamegroute – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate
Wake early to experience the magical sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, leave the desert and head to M’hamid, the last village on the edge of the deep Sahara. Continue to Tamegroute, home to an ancient kasbah and historic library. Follow the Draa Valley, a lush ribbon of palm groves and Berber villages, before arriving in Ouarzazate in the evening.
Day 4: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas – Marrakech
Visit Ait Ben Haddou, a famous fortified village and UNESCO site, known for its earthen architecture and cinematic history. Continue across the High Atlas Mountains, passing traditional Berber villages and scenic viewpoints. Arrive in Marrakech by late afternoon to relax and prepare for a full day of city exploration.
Day 5: Marrakech City Exploration
Spend the day with a local guide exploring Marrakech. Wander through the historic medina, visit ornate palaces, Saadian tombs, and the iconic Koutoubia Mosque. Experience the lively atmosphere of Jemaa el-Fnaa square, browse colorful souks, and enjoy moments of serenity in the city’s gardens. Evening is free to explore or relax at your own pace.
Day 6: Marrakech – Agadir
After breakfast, enjoy free time in Marrakech before returning to Agadir. The tour concludes upon arrival at your chosen drop-off point, marking the end of a remarkable six-day adventure through Morocco’s deserts, mountains, and cultural treasures.
